Where is the maths in this? [WITMIT] : Shower inners

January 23, 2011

My electric shower broke recently which was a little inconvenient to say the least. When replacing it, I spotted this inside.

Student: “When am I ever going to need to know the angles in polygons sir?”
Me: “I don’t know what you’re going to do with the rest of your life but maybe if you’re any sort of engineer or electrician…”

As a somewhat bizarre link, I’m working on a magic performance in a sort of russian roulette style. There will six ‘bullets’ (or eggs in fact) that I want to space equidistantly around the edge of a circle.

Who’d have thought there’d be a link between showers and a trick involving eggs? (Aside from the need for a shower after trying to crack eggs on your head of course.)
