BBC News at 10 – Percentages and Pie Charts

Here’s a few screen shots that Nicola pointed me towards. (Thanks very much.)

The first screen shows that 9% is equivalent to 9 minutes on a clock.
Similarly, the second shot shows an extra 10.2% being added (as 10.2 minutes).

This means that 19.2% takes up more than a quarter of the clock.

Although they haven’t stated that the clock represents the whole 100% it seems as though that is what most people would assume is meant.

I just can’t see how this would get past enough people at the BBC to be aired…
