Pyramid Starters

Just had an idea for a repeatable starter activity.

Get each student to stick one of these pages into their book (A4 or A5 as appropriate) and then at the start of each lesson, you have two pyramids on the board with some bricks filled in.
To get the brick above, add the two below.
Then you can put whatever you like in the bricks – I’m going to use fractions at the moment but it could be simple numbers, directed numbers, surds, decimals algebraic things etc.

Next lesson they use the same sheet but, just the second row. Following lesson, they use the third row etc.

You could always change it from adding to multiplying too.
